[World Masters Swimming Championships 2023 Kyushu, Shisei Dayori July (1)]

The World Masters Swimming Championships, organized by the World Aquatic Federation (World Aquatic), is an international swimming competition held every two years in conjunction with the World Swimming Championships.

Masters Swimming aims to achieve "health, friendship, and mutual understanding" through competitive swimming, diving, artistic swimming, water polo, and open water swimming, and is attended by swimmers from around the world. The Water Polo Congress will be held in Kumamoto City.

Venue: Aquadome Kumamoto

Games: Saturday, August 5, 2023 - Friday, August 11, 2023 (national holiday)

Fee: Free of charge for spectators

Heat stroke is more common between June and August, when temperatures soar. When people are exposed to high temperatures and humidity for long periods of time, the body's thermoregulatory system does not work properly, and heat builds up in the body, causing various physical ailments. However, heat stroke can be prevented with "proper knowledge and appropriate prevention," so be sure to take the proper measures!

[ Avoid the heat!]

Take countermeasures inside your home, which are more common than you might think!

In your home and other indoor places, devise ventilating windows and avoid strong sunlight.

Use air conditioning on hot days.

Avoid going out on hot days and during hot hours.

Wear parasols, hats, and breathable clothing.

Take a rest in a cool place when necessary and do not overexert yourself.

[Drink water frequently!]

♦Decide on a time before you get thirsty and hydrate systematically.

When sweating profusely, it is important to drink sports drinks and take in salt.

If you think you may be suffering from heat stroke

Move to a cool place, loosen clothing, and cool the neck, armpits, and legs with water, ice, or refrigerant.

If the person is able to drink water on his/her own, rehydrate him/her.

Call an ambulance if you are at a loss for judgment or if the person does not respond to your call.

(1) Households in which all members of the household are exempt from per capita municipal inhabitant tax for the fiscal year 2022 (households exempt from inhabitant tax for the fiscal year 2004)

(2) Households in which all members of the household are exempt from per capita levy of municipal inhabitant tax for the fiscal year 2023 (households exempt from inhabitant tax for the fiscal year 2005)

(3) Households other than (i) and (ii) whose household finances have unexpectedly and suddenly changed since January 2023 and whose circumstances are deemed to be the same as those in (i) and (ii) (R5 households with a sudden change in household finances)

How to apply

(1) [Households exempt from R4 inhabitant tax] No procedures required.

Notification letters will be sent to eligible households, and the funds will be transferred sequentially from Monday, June 26.

(2) [Households exempt from inhabitant tax for fiscal year R5

Application forms will be sent out sequentially from mid-July to households that are considered eligible for the R5 inhabitant tax exemption. Households that have received an application form should send it by mail with the required documents in a self-addressed envelope.

3) [Households with a sudden change in household finances in FYR5].

Applications will be accepted at the "benefit application consultation counter" at each ward office from mid-July.

*Application forms will be distributed at the Benefit Application Counseling Counters.

When you change your address within the city

1. On the last day of school, you will receive (1) a certificate of enrollment and (2) a certificate of pay for textbooks from the school you are currently attending.

2. Bring (1) and (2) to the Ward Residents' Section or General Branch Office of the Ward Office to report the change of residence and receive (3) a notice of transfer to the new school.

3 Submit (1) through (3) to the new school.

When moving in from outside the city

1. Please submit the notification of change of residence with (1) and (2) from the school you attended.

2 Please receive the form (3) from the previous term and submit (1) to (3) to your new school.

*If you have already notified the school of your change of residence before moving to a new school, please receive (1) and (2) and complete the transfer procedures at the municipal office of your new address.

■When moving out of the city

On the last day of school, please obtain the aforementioned documents (1) and (2) and complete the transfer procedures at the municipal office of your new address.
