International Badminton Tournament "Kumamoto Masters Japan" will be held at the Prefectural General Gymnasium for six days from November 14 (Tue.) to 19 (Sun.)!

The international badminton tournament "Kumamoto Masters Japan" will be held at the Prefectural Gymnasium for six days from November 14 (Tue.) to 19 (Sun.)! This tournament is also a major event related to the selection of representatives for the 2024 Paris Olympics, and will be an international tournament where the world's top athletes will gather.

There will be a total of five events: men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles, with Kumamon serving as the official PR character to liven up the event. Please come to the venue to watch the matches and enjoy the local cuisine.

Inheriting the legacy of the 38th National Urban Greenery Kumamoto Fair held in March 2022, the Kumamoto Flower Expo 2023 will be held!

【New Himawari Card will be issued!　Shisei Dayori Nov. ③]

Kumamoto City subsidizes a portion of medical expenses for children who visit hospitals for illness or injury in order to maintain their health and ensure their sound growth. Starting from the December 2023 medical examination, the subsidy will be extended to third-year high school students (by the end of March after reaching 18 years of age), and all eligible patients will be able to receive free medicine.

New Himawari Card will be mailed by late November, so please use the new card after December 1, 2023.

When calling 119, it is important to answer the operator's questions calmly.

Application: After visiting the facility of your choice, fill out the application form and submit it along with the necessary documents to the facility of your choice or the Health and Children's Section of the ward office.

Result notification

Late January 2024 for the first round of applications

Second round of applications: Early March 2024
