〇Welcome
Baby Project
A
project has been launched to provide "concurrent consultation
support" and "financial support" from the time of pregnancy
through childbirth and child rearing, all in an integrated manner.
Kumamoto
City calls this project the "Welcome Baby Project" and began
supporting it in January 2023.
【Eligible
people】
Those who
reported their pregnancy on or after April 1, 2022, or those who are raising a child born on or
after April 1, 2022.
Those
who are taking care of a child born on or after April 1, 2022
【Amount provided】
・At the
time of pregnancy notification: 50,000 yen per pregnant woman
・After
birth notification: 50,000 yen per child
Example:
In the
case of twins, 50,000 yen at the time of notification of pregnancy and 100,000 yen after
notification of birth, for a total of 150,000 yen
benefit.
【How to
apply】
Information notices will be sent to eligible applicants
in due course.
When you receive the information notice, please submit
your application electronically using the 2D barcode in the notice.
【The age range for the Child medical expenses furtherance has been expanded to 18・free medicine!–Shisei Dayori.May (2)]
Medical expense subsidies have been provided to maintain
the healthy upbringing of infants and children.
Starting
from December 2023, the age range for the program will be raised from junior high
school students to high school students, and the cost
of the medication will be waived.
【Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of an exchange City Agreement with Aix-en-Provence City-Shisei Dayori.May (3)】
Since Kumamoto City and Aix-en-Provence City signed an
"Exchange City" agreement in February 2013, This year marks the 10th anniversary of
the agreement. Aix-en-Provence has long flourished as the center of the
region and is one of the world's leading cultural and tourist destinations,
attracting people from all over the world through its Opera Festival and as Cézanne's favorite
home.
It is also a city of many young people, with 45,000
students out of a population of approximately 150,000.

February 2023 are eligible to apply for MAINA Points, which can earn up to 20,000 yen

【Movement
focus】
(1) Ensure the safety of pedestrians, especially children
Traffic accidents involving pedestrians, including infants and children,

Always stop at crosswalks and
check your surroundings.
(2) Prevent pedestrian crossing accidents and
raise awareness of safe driving
Pedestrians have priority at crosswalks. Drive with a sense of consideration and compromises. Never drink and
drive. Do not tailgate.
(3) Ensure that bicyclists wear helmets and
follow traffic rules
Observe the "Five Rules for Safe Bicycle Use.
①As a rule, drive on the left side of vehicular roads. Drive on sidewalks
