Now accepting applications for the dismantling/removal of

damaged houses etc.

 

@Based on the property ownerfs application, Kumamoto city will dismantle/remove those houses etc. determined to be over half-destroyed in the earthquake according to their disaster victim certificate.  

@Registration for dismantling/removal applications (distribution of reservation ticket and application documents) will commence Monday, June 13th. A citizen inquiries phone line, gHisai-Kaoku-Kaitai-Dialh opened on Wednesday, June 8th.

 

1@Target applicants for dismantling/removal

Applicants for dismantling/removal (according to this system) must meet all of the following requirements and conditions:

‡@@Must be the owner of a house etc. determined to be over half-destroyed on the corresponding disaster victims certificate

‡A@Must have been the owner of the said property on April 16th, 2016 (during the mainshock of the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake) 

*Exceptions may apply if the property owner perished after April 16th, 2016.

i‚PjThose who have already had their houses dismantled/removed at their own expense are still applicable to this system.

@@@The application registration process for those who have already had their house dismantled/removed at their own expense is the same as (1).

Owners of a house etc. that has been determined as over half-destroyed according to their disaster victim certificate and who have a copy of the contract and/or invoice for the completed payment of the dismantling/removal of their property.

i‚QjAbout dismantling/removal fees

‡@ The dismantling/removal fees will be whichever of the two amounts—either the amount calculated by the city or the amount charged by the private contractor—is lower.

   *Costs accrued for the removal of gnon-reimbursable itemsh do not apply.

‡A Applicant must pay the difference if the cityfs calculated amount is less than that which the private contractor charged.
