We will stop receiving large-sized garbage at Kumamoto city Seibu incineration plant.(Shisei Dayori, Aug 2020 (5))
Due to periodical maintenance and inspection for crushing machine at Kumamoto city Seibu incineration plant, we will stop receiving large-sized garbage. During that time, we cannot receive large-sized garbage that needs to be crushed before being burnt.. If you are in a hurry, we would like you to bring the garbage to east environment factory.

Are you now ready for Typhoons?
In the coming season from now, many typhoons would be formed. Let’s try to make
following preparations in the daily life.
Make sure if shatters and rain-doors can be surely closed. Make reinforcement on necessity
Goods likely to be blown away by strong window, should be fixed firmly or put into the house.
Make sure dangerous places, evacuation places and evacuation routes in your neighborhood of your house and working place
Make preparations for “Emergency Kit Items” and “Emergency Stockpile” which are necessary in evacuation.
Collect information for typhoon’s moving route, evacuation and so on and make sure if there is any disaster risk or not.
It is very dangerous to evacuate after the wind starts to blow. It is important to take evacuation actions before the wind blows. With a mind that you will protect yourself on your own. you should judge earlier and make evacuation actions.

The mobile health screening for lung cancer/stomach cancer examination will resume from September. (Shisei Dayori Aug 2020 (7)）
The mobile health screening which had been discontinued to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, will be resumed from September. The mobile health screening schedule will be announced on the September issue of Shisei Dayori and the city website.
*Some screening institutions offer set-up screenings that allow you to have a set of breast/stomach cancer (stomach X-ray examination)/colorectal cancer screening.
