 Earthquake Debris

Disaster debris can be disposed of in your nearby garbage station any day of the week. Please take care not to block traffic when disposing of debris.

Trash may be thrown away in any bag, but transparent bags are preferred. Please separate trash for burning and trash for landfill. The city is not responsible for collecting neither items subject to the Home Appliance Recycling Act (such as air conditioners, TVs, refrigerators, and washers) nor personal computers. Please dispose of them for recycling on the dates designated in the Household Garbage and Recyclables Collection Calendar.

In Person Dropoff to Environmental Centers and Other Facilities

Upon completion of the application for fee-exempt garbage disposal, debris from the April 14 Earthquake can be brought directly to the Tobu and Seibu Kankyo Kojo (East Environmental Plant and West Environmental Plant) for burning and to Ōgida Kankyo Center (Ōgida Environmental Center) to be deposited in the landfill, after completing the application for fee-exempt (free) garbage disposal.

Additionally, a temporary drop-off site has been established adjacent to the Tobu Kankyo Kojo (East Environmental Plant). Please follow the instructions of onsite staff in charge of disposal.

Operating Hours
In addition to the regular operating hours (8:30-16:30, Monday through Saturday), debris may be dropped off between 8:30 and 16:30 on May 15, 2016.
