Violent acts against women, such as violence by husbands or partners, sex crimes, prostitution, human trafficking, sexual harassment or stalking activities, significantly violate human rights of women.  


What is domestic violence (DV)?

DV is the violence by someone close to you, such as your spouse or your intimate friend.  This includes not only physical violence like punching and kicking but also moral harassment and sexual violence.  DV is a serious abuse of human rights that includes criminal acts.  DV must not be allowed for any reason.
